Preserving Tradition with Innovative Flavors

The dream of opening an ice cream and coffee shop started in 2010 in New York, inspired by years of working in the hospitality industry.

In 2020, during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, that dream came to life when we began making homemade ice cream in our apartment. Partnering with my significant other, who shared his family recipes from Mexico, we combined Mexican and Italian gelato traditions to create unique flavors.

After two wonderful years in New York, we brought our passion to Austin, Texas, where we proudly opened our first Bella Vita Ice Cream shop.

Stopped by this place by accident and was honestly impressed. The ice cream is homemade, light, and perfectly sweet (not heavy at all). You can really tell it’s made with care. The owner is also incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

What a gem of a spot! In town from Kansas City, and googled an ice cream place that serves espresso and it did not disappoint! Such a family friendly atmosphere and lovely little outdoor seating with little tables and chairs for the kids. The place is decorated so delightfully and the ice cream is absolutely delicious! All made in house and with simple clean ingredients. No fillers. Quality is amazing and taste is incredible! I love a good affogato and this one I chose coffee ice cream, because you can never have enough coffee! Go check this place out and bring the crew! There's something for everyone!
